Western hadn't done well against Piper recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. Everything went the Western Wildcats' way against the Piper Bengals as the Western Wildcats made off with a 47-27 victory. The Wildcats have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won nine contests by 20 points or more this season.

Despite the loss, Piper had strong showings from Tahlia Dolce, who posted 13 points, and Janiya Joassin, who put up 11 points.

Western has been performing well recently as they've won seven of their last nine matches, which provided a massive bump to their 12-9 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 24.1 points per game. As for Piper, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 9-10.
