Softball Recap: Halls' Win Ends Seven-Game Losing Streak on the Road

Halls won the last time they faced Trinity Christian Academy and things went their way on Thursday too. Halls put the hurt on Trinity Christian Academy with a sharp 14-4 victory. The high-scoring performance was a welcome turnaround for the Tigers' hitters, who had struggled in the games prior.

Carrlee Riddick spent all six innings played on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered four runs (all of which were unearned) on four hits and racked up seven Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in six consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Ashton Hardy was incredible, scoring three runs while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances. Those three runs gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Kyleigh Ward, who went 3-for-5 with one triple, one stolen base, and one run.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Halls will take on Clarksburg at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Trinity Christian Academy, they will face off against Madison at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
