Basketball Recap: Jordan Takes a Loss

Jordan played a tough contest on Tuesday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They lost 71-51 to the Hillcrest Huskies. The Beetdiggers were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 40-16.

Hillcrest got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Ezra Bell out in front who posted 12 points and five steals. The dominant performance gave Bell a new career-high in steals. Another player making a difference was Anton Mahler, who put up 15 points and three steals.

Jordan's loss dropped their record down to 6-10. As for Hillcrest, their win was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 11-4.

The future could be bright for both Jordan and Hillcrest: their next opponents haven't had the best luck recently. Jordan will try to hand Stansbury their fourth-straight defeat when the two meet at 5:15 p.m. on January 14th. Meanwhile, Hillcrest will try to hand Cottonwood their third-straight loss when the two meet at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
