Soccer Recap: Frontier Comes Up Short

While it was all tied up 1-1 at halftime, Frontier was not quite Stockdale's equal in the second half on Thursday. They fell just short of the Stockdale Mustangs by a score of 2-1. While losing is never fun, the Titans can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 687th, while the Mustangs are ranked 189th).

This is the second loss in a row for Frontier and nudges their season record down to 5-6-4. As for Stockdale, the victory was the seventh in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 8-1-4.

Frontier will look to defend their home pitch on Tuesday against Liberty at 6:00 p.m. Frontier's last six contests have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one. As for Stockdale, they will head out on the road to challenge Garces Memorial at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
