Greater Lowell Tech proved they can win big on Thursday (they won by three) and on Friday they proved they can win the close ones too. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-2 win over the North Andover Scarlet Knights. The victory was familiar territory for the Gryphons, who have now won 11 contests in a row.

Greater Lowell Tech wouldn't go down easily and took North Andover into a fifth set where they got it done with a two-point win. The match finished with set scores of 23-25, 28-26, 22-25, 25-18, 15-13.

Leading Greater Lowell Tech to victory were LaDainian Loeung and Luis Carrasquillo. Loeung had 13 digs and three assists, while Carrasquillo had 11 digs and three aces. That's the most digs Loeung has posted since back in April.

When it comes to explaining why North Andover lost, don't look at Prady Mistry. Despite the final result, he had 29 digs and six assists. Mistry has been hot, having posted 11 or more digs the last eight times he's played.

Greater Lowell Tech pushed their record up to 17-3 with the win, which was their 11th straight at home. As for North Andover, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost six of their last eight games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-12 record this season.

Greater Lowell Tech didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-1 victory against Lynn Vo-Tech on the 24th. North Andover does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
