Basketball Recap: Paw Paw's Higher State Rank on Full Display on Saturday

On Saturday, the Paw Paw Red Wolves were able to grind out a solid win over the Culver Community Cavaliers, taking the game 54-44. Given the Red Wolves' advantage in MaxPreps' basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 18th in Michigan, while the Cavaliers are ranked 262nd in Indiana), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Paw Paw's victory bumped their record up to 6-1. As for Culver Community, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-6.

Paw Paw wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 54-44 win against Culver Academies on the 21st. As for Culver Community, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 34-33 defeat against Trinity Greenlawn on the 21st.
