Volleyball Recap: Dynamic Duo of Madi Kage and Ava Hays Lead Roosevelt to Victory + How To Watch

Roosevelt waltzed into their match on Tuesday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They put the hurt on the Severance Silver Knights with a sharp 3-0 victory. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest win the Roughriders have posted against the Silver Knights since October 4, 2022.

Roosevelt was especially dominant in the first set. The match finished with set scores of 25-11, 25-16, 25-18.

Leading Roosevelt to victory were Ava Hays and Madi Kage. Hays had 14 assists and six digs, while Kage had five digs and four aces. Those six digs gave Hays a new career-high.

They weren't the only good servers: Roosevelt was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 11 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least 11 aces in three consecutive matchups.

Roosevelt's victory bumped their record up to 13-5. As for Severance, they now have a losing record of 6-7.

Looking ahead, Roosevelt will be playing at home against Fort Collins at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Lambkins will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more sets each contest than the last. As for Severance, they will venture away from home to face off against Thompson Valley at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
