Volleyball Recap: Westminster Christian Academy Takes a Loss

Westminster Christian Academy was the 3-0 winner over Good Hope when they last played one another back in October of 2021, but their luck changed this time around. The Wildcats fell 2-0 to the Raiders on Saturday.

While Westminster Christian Academy ultimately came up short, they really made Good Hope work, particularly in the first set. The final score came out to 27-25, 25-21.

Addie Mcwhorter paced Westminster Christian Academy's offense, picking up ten kills. Mcwhorter got some help from Azlyn Leatherwood and her 13 assists. Haley Taylor controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Westminster Christian Academy has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost seven of their last eight games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-9 record this season. As for Good Hope, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 12-9.

Westminster Christian Academy wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 2-0 win against Elkmont on the 13th. As for Good Hope, they have also already played their next matchup, a 2-0 defeat against West Limestone on the 13th.
