Baseball Recap: Spring Creek Spartans vs. Wooster Colts

With a playoff game on the line, Spring Creek rose to the challenge on Saturday. They beat the Wooster Colts by the very same score they won with in their prior game: 8-5. The victory was familiar territory for Spring Creek who now have three in a row.

Logan Lopez made a big impact no matter where he played. On the mound, he pitched an inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. Lopez has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than two hits in four consecutive pitching appearances. Lopez was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 1-for-3.

In other batting news, Spring Creek let PJ Zubiria and Norman House loose on the outfield.
