Softball Recap: West Craven Eagles vs. Farmville Central Jaguars
West Craven was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their tenth straight defeat dating back to last season. They fell 3-0 to the Farmville Central Jaguars. The Eagles were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Jaguars apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in April of 2024.
Riley Dixon spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned (and one unearned) runs on ten hits. Those hits marked the first that she allowed this season.
At the plate, West Craven saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Angelina Smith, who went 2-for-3 with one double.
West Craven's defeat dropped their record down to 0-9. As for Farmville Central, their record now sits at 8-3.
