Elmwood had to kick off their season on the road on Saturday, but they showed no ill effects. They claimed a resounding 69-22 win over the Lakota Raiders. This was payback for the Royals, who suffered a 50-49 loss the last time these two teams met.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Elmwood will welcome Liberty-Benton at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. This will be the Royals' first chance to prove their worth in the conference. As for Lakota, they will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Huron at 1:30 p.m. on December 6.
