Football Recap: Desert Hills Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Desert Hills was the 35-14 winner over Pine View when they last played one another back in September of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Thunder fell 23-16 to the Panthers on Friday. While the Thunder had to settle for second, they closed the game well in the third quarter, where they outscored the Panthers 13-3.

When it comes to explaining why Desert Hills lost, don't look at Isaac Andresen. Despite the final result, he rushed for 165 yards and a pair of scores, and also picked up 57 receiving yards. Gavin Young also helped out with an impressive 82 receiving yards.

Desert Hills' defeat was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 2-6. As for Pine View, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-2 record this season.

Desert Hills and Pine View will both get a bit of extra prep time before their next games. The next time the Thunder see the field they'll take on Hurricane at 7:00 p.m. on the 17th. As for Pine View, their break will end when they face Crimson Cliffs at 7:00 p.m. on the 17th.
