Soccer Recap: Rowlett Gets the Win

Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Rowlett walked away with it. While the 2-2 score might suggest a draw, it was Rowlett who was credited with the victory on Friday. Rowlett got it done in the shootout by posting four goals to the Longview Lobos's three. Rowlett's winning goal came courtesy of Ivann Castillo.

The win (which was Rowlett's fifth in a row) raised their record to 13-4-3. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 19 goals over those five matchups. As for Longview, with the loss, they broke their four-game winning streak and moved their record to 12-6-3.

Coming up, Rowlett will be playing at home against Mesquite at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday. Mesquite will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something Rowlett surely won't give up without a fight. Longview does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
