Basketball Recap: Bonanza Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Bonanza extended their losing streak to three on Tuesday, dropping them down to 3-9. They took a blow against the Somerset Academy Losee Lions, falling 84-17. The Bengals were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Lions apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in December of 2019.

As for Somerset Academy Losee, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 10-6. Their offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Somerset Academy Losee found their leader in freshman DJ Hunter, who posted 24 points. Hunter's big performance that evening made it five games in a row in which he has scored at least 16 points. Another player making a difference was Nick Odum, who put up 16 points.

Coming up, Bonanza will take on Western at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Somerset Academy Losee, they will challenge Legacy at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Lions will need to watch out since the Longhorns have now posted at least 55 points in their last 16 matchups.
