Football Game Preview: Bothell Cougars vs. Eastlake Wolves + How To Watch

The Bothell Cougars will venture away from home to face off against the Eastlake Wolves at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Bothell has three straight victories, Eastlake has three straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the field.

It was a proper cat-fight when Bothell took on Mount Si on Friday. The Cougars strolled past the Wildcats with points to spare, taking the game 30-15.

Bothell found their leader in sophomore Mylez Welch, who rushed for 102 yards on only 13 carries. Welch is crushing it when it comes to rushing yards: he's rushed for at least 102 every time he's taken the field this season. Kyle Sychov also deserves some recognition as he posted his first receiving yards of the season.

Meanwhile, Eastlake ended up a good deal behind Bellevue on Saturday and lost 42-24.

Bothell will have to keep a close watch on Myles Johnson and Brady Vandermeid, a pair of players who had a big impact on Eastlake's prior game. Johnson rushed for 176 yards and one touchdown while picking up 8.8 yards per carry, while Vandermeid rushed for 49 yards and a pair of TDs.

Eastlake's defeat dropped their record down to 2-5. As for Bothell, their win bumped their record up to 5-2.

Bothell skirted past Eastlake 31-29 when the teams last played back in October of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Cougars since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
