Baseball Recap: Ridge Community Find Success

It may have taken eight innings to finish the job, but Ridge Community ultimately got the result they hoped for on Monday. They had just enough and edged out the Celebration Storm 5-3. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Bolts have posted against the Storm since February 17, 2021.

Gean Colina was excellent, going 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, one run, and one RBI. Ridge Community is undefeated when Colina posts three or more hits, but 1-4 otherwise. Deniel Serrano also deserves some recognition as he hit his first triple of the season.

The win got Ridge Community back to even at 4-4. As for Celebration, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-6 record this season.

Ridge Community will venture away from home to face off against George Jenkins at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Celebration, they will face off against Lake Minneola at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Hawks' pitching crew has only allowed 3.3 runs per game this season, so the Storm's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
