Baseball Recap: Gillespie Has No Trouble Against Bunker Hill

Gillespie never let their opponents score on Monday. Everything went their way against the Bunker Hill Minutemen as they made off with a 16-0 victory. The Miners haven't had any issues with the Minutemen recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive win against them.

Gillespie got a massive performance out of Owen Pau, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with three runs, one triple, and one stolen base. Those three runs gave Pau a new career-high. Colin Griffith was another key player, going a perfect 3-for-3 with three runs, two doubles, and one stolen base.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Gillespie kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 14 hits. They are a perfect 4-0 when they post 11 or more hits.

Gillespie's victory bumped their record up to 10-7. As for Bunker Hill, they are on an 11-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-13.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Gillespie beat the Minutemen by a score of 16-0 later that day.
