Softball Game Preview: Plano West Wolves vs. Princeton Panthers

The Plano West Wolves will face off against the Princeton Panthers at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. Plano West will be strutting in after a victory while Princeton will be coming in after a loss.

The home team had come away the winner the last four times Plano West and Allen had met, but sadly for the fans who attended this one that wasn't the case. The Wolves walked away with a 12-9 win over the Eagles on Tuesday. The Wolves haven't had any issues with the Eagles recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.

Brooke Reasoner and Abby Jennings did most of the damage at the plate: Reasoner went 3-for-5 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs, while Jennings scored two runs while going 3-for-4. That's the most hits Jennings has posted since back in March of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Amber Carrillo, who scored a run while going 3-for-4.

Meanwhile, Princeton was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 12th straight defeat. They lost 17-0 to Allen.

Princeton's loss dropped their record down to 4-18-1. As for Plano West, their win bumped their record up to 15-8.

Plano West took their victory against Princeton in their previous matchup back in March by a conclusive 12-0 score. Will the Wolves repeat their success, or do the Panthers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
