Basketball Recap: Gunnison Valley Bulldogs vs. North Sevier Wolves
In Friday's Canine Competition, Gunnison Valley had to take the L. They were just a bucket shy of victory on Friday and fell 50-49 to the North Sevier Wolves. The Bulldogs were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Wolves earlier this season, when they won 42-37.
Kade Johnson continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for North Sevier, going 8 of 13 on his way to 19 points along with five boards and four steals. Another player making a difference was Efrain Bernardino, who posted ten points in addition to six rebounds and five steals.
Gunnison Valley's loss was their sixth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 9-11. As for North Sevier, the win got them back to even at 10-10.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Gunnison Valley will take on Duchesne at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for North Sevier, they will head out on the road to challenge North Summit at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
