Basketball Recap: Charter Oak Comes Up Short

Charter Oak was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their eighth straight loss. They were four points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 51-47 heartbreaker at the hands of the Covina Colts. If the Chargers were looking for revenge after losing 53-31 to them when the teams met, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Charter Oak's defeat dropped their record down to 3-15. As for Covina, their win ended a six-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 8-12.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Charter Oak has already played their next match (against West Covina), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Covina will take on Aveson Global Leadership Academy at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. Aveson Global Leadership Academy will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something Covina surely won't give up without a fight.
