Basketball Recap: Jamestown Eagles vs. New Kent Trojans
Jamestown lost against New Kent two weeks ago and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Jamestown Eagles had to suffer through a 84-55 loss at the hands of the New Kent Trojans. While losing is never fun, the Eagles can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Virginia basketball rankings (they are ranked 301st, while the Trojans are ranked 26th).
Will Ross continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for New Kent, going 7 of 11 from beyond the arc on his way to 26 points. Ross has been hot for a while, having also posted two or more steals the last ten times he's played. Kyle Diggs was another key player, going 5 for 8 to rack up 12 points along with seven rebounds and three steals.
Jamestown's loss was their fifth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 5-10. As for New Kent, the win keeps them at an undefeated 20-0.
