Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Suburban Christian). They blew past the Colonial Christian Cougars 76-31 on Tuesday. The Crusaders have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won nine contests by 22 points or more this season.

Suburban Christian was led to victory by Carter Ellis and Ayden Montgomery. Ellis went 8-for-17 en route to 19 points and four steals, while Montgomery shot 59% from the field on his way to 21 points in addition to five rebounds and four steals. What's more, Montgomery also posted a 33% three-point shooting accuracy, which is the highest he's achieved since back in December of 2024. Wade Zimmerman was another key player, putting up 12 points and three steals.

Suburban Christian smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 15 offensive boards. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Colonial Christian only two offensive rebounds.

When it comes to explaining why Colonial Christian lost, don't look at Clayton Gannon. Despite the final result, he shot 55% from the field to rack up 17 points.

The win was the third in a row for Suburban Christian, bringing their record for this year to 13-6. The wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 29.0 points on average over those games. As for Colonial Christian, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-11.

Suburban Christian has already played their next game, a 60-59 victory against Crosspointe Christian Academy on the 27th. Colonial Christian does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
