Preview: Roncalli Jets vs. Brillion Lions
Roncalli has enjoyed the comforts of home their last three games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will square off against the Brillion Lions at 5:45 p.m. on Tuesday.
Last Thursday, Roncalli came up short against Valders and fell 52-43. While losing is never fun, Roncalli can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Wisconsin basketball rankings (they are ranked 253rd, while Valders is ranked 109th).
Brillion can finally bid farewell to their three-game losing streak thanks to their game on Thursday. They were the clear victor by a 50-26 margin over Two Rivers. For those curious, yes, that was the biggest win Brillion has managed all season.
Brillion relied on the efforts of Amaya Brooks, who scored nine points along with eight assists and three steals, and Camden Hale, who scored 20 points. Brooks set a new season high mark in assists with eight.
Roncalli's defeat dropped their record down to 3-3. As for Brillion, their victory bumped their record up to 2-3.
Roncalli suffered a grim 69-48 defeat to Brillion when the teams last played back in February. Thankfully for Roncalli, Megan Schuman (who scored 17 points along with seven rebounds and three steals) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result?
