Soccer Game Preview: North Kitsap vs. Sequim

The North Kitsap Vikings will challenge the Sequim Wolves at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Sequim will face off against a team with plenty of momentum: North Kitsap extended their winning streak to three on Tuesday. The Vikings never let North Mason get on the board and left with a 7-0 win. Given North Kitsap's advantage in MaxPreps' Washington soccer rankings (they are ranked 38th, while North Mason are ranked 206th) , the win wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Sequim, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Tuesday. Everything went their way against Olympic on Friday as they made off with a 4-1 victory. The high-scoring effort was just what Sequim needed considering they were shut out in their previous match.

North Kitsap's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 6-1. The road victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 14 goals over those three games. As for Sequim, they now have a winning record of 3-2.

Everything went North Kitsap's way against Sequim in their previous matchup back in April of 2024, as North Kitsap made off with a 7-2 win. Will the Vikings repeat their success, or do Wolves have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
