Baseball Recap: Kennedy Comes Up Short

Kennedy lost against Jones back in May of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. Kennedy fell just short of Jones by a score of 6-5. The Crusaders have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Luke Zavala was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. That's the most runs he has posted since back in March of 2024. Nicholas Reyes was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two RBI and one double.

Even though they lost, Kennedy always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .588. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Jones only posted an OBP of .429.

Kennedy now has a losing record of 3-4. As for Jones, their win ended a three-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 3-2.

Coming up, Kennedy will venture away from home to take on Blue Island Eisenhower at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Jones, they will welcome Holy Trinity at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
