The Berkeley Yellowjackets will head out to face off against the Foothill Falcons at 3:30 p.m. on Friday. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Berkeley took a loss when they played away from home on Wednesday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Saturday. They walked away with a 5-1 win over Oakland Tech. The victory continues a trend for the Yellowjackets in their matchups with the Bulldogs: they've now won five in a row.

Quinton Hill made a splash no matter where he played. He didn't allow a single earned run while striking out ten over six innings pitched. Those ten strikeouts gave him a new career-high. He was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with one stolen base and one RBI.
In other pitching news, Sasha Spahr looked comfortable as he pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. What's more, he gave up only zero earned runs, the fewest he's had since back in April of 2024.
Back at the plate, Berkeley got a big performance out of Isaiah Mays, who scored a run and stole a base while going 3-for-3. The dominant performance gave Mays a new career-high in hits. Another player making a difference was Chase Worthington, who scored a run while going 2-for-3.
Berkeley was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .414. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Oakland Tech only posted a batting average of .160.
Meanwhile, after only one run in their last contest, Foothill made sure to put some runs up on the board against James Logan on Tuesday. Foothill never let James Logan get on the board and left with an 11-0 win. The Falcons might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won three games by eight runs or more this season.
Foothill also got a great performance from Charlie Stearns as he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits over six innings pitched. Stearns has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two hits in three consecutive appearances.
At the plate, George Schmitt was incredible, going 2-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and one triple. That triple marked the first that he hit this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Hudson Flora, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-3.
The victory keeps them at an undefeated 4-0. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.3 runs on average over those games. As for Berkeley, the win got them back to even at 1-1.
