While Bloomfield Hills's  win against Stoney Creek wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Black Hawks won by a  set and slipped past the Cougars  2-1. The Black Hawks haven't had any issues with the Cougars recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive  victory against them.
 Bloomfield Hills had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next two. The match finished with set scores of 21-25, 25-10,  25-17.
 Kayla Nwabueze paced Bloomfield Hills' offense, picking up 20 kills. Nwabueze got some help from  Brynn Wilcox and her 33 assists.  Alyssa Moir and  Sasha Shepherd kept things locked in from the service line: the pair finished with two aces apiece.
 Stoney Creek's loss  on Thursday came despite strong showings from  Eleanor Luhmann and  Kaitlyn Gustafson.  Luhmann  had ten  digs, while  Gustafson  had 11  digs and one assist.
Bloomfield Hills' win bumped their record up to 3-0. As for Stoney Creek, their loss dropped their record down to 1-1.
 Both  squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Bloomfield Hills will square off against South Lyon at 5:00  p.m.  on Tuesday. As for Stoney Creek, they will have a little extra prep time after the  defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Grand Blanc at 7:00  p.m.  on September 2.
