While Point Loma's win against Scripps Ranch wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Pointers narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past the Falcons 9-7. The Pointers haven't had any issues with the Falcons recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.

Point Loma got a big performance out of Wyatt Olson, who went 2-for-3 with one run and one RBI. Another player making a difference was Elijah Morais, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with two runs.

Point Loma's victory bumped their record up to 14-8-1. As for Scripps Ranch, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-18.

Point Loma will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Falcons: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
