Aubree Zeiter was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-4 with one home run, two RBI, and one double. Another player making a difference was Addi Davis, who went 2-for-3 with one run and one RBI.
Meanwhile, Bryan strolled into their game on Tuesday with a perfect record and they left with the same. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 2-1 W against Clay.
Thea Staten spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned run on one hit and racked up 14 Ks. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't given up more than two hits any time she's pitched this season.
At the plate, Karlie McDade was excellent, going 1-for-2 with one triple, one run, and one RBI. That triple was her first of the season.
Liberty Center's loss dropped their record down to 2-9. As for Bryan, their victory bumped their record up to 11-0.
Fans could be in store for some top-tier slugging on Thursday. Liberty Center hasn't had any problems when it comes to power this season, having averaged 0.5 home runs per game. However, it's not like Bryan struggles in that department as they've been averaging 0.9 home runs. With so much power on both teams, it'll be down to the pitchers to keep the mound locked down.
