Pope Francis Prep barely beat Putnam Vo-Tech the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Cardinals put the hurt on the Beavers with a sharp 33-15 win on Monday. The Cardinals have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Beavers, too.

Pope Francis Prep got a massive performance out of Lacey Bermudez-Lizardi, who scored five runs and stole three bases while getting on base in five of her six plate appearances. The team also got some help courtesy of Hannah Johnson, who got on base in four of her six plate appearances with four runs, three RBI, and one triple.

Pope Francis Prep now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Putnam Vo-Tech, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 0-2.

Coming up, Pope Francis Prep will be playing at home against Springfield Renaissance at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Putnam Vo-Tech, they will venture away from home to take on Belchertown at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
