It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Fort White had no problem doing just that on Tuesday. Their pitcher stepped up to hand the Bell Bulldogs a 9-0 shutout. Winning may never get old, but the Indians sure are getting used to it with their sixth in a row.

The result came thanks to Kadence Compton's shutout, as she gave up just a hit and racked up ten Ks. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in 13 consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Fort White got a big performance out of Graceanne Durrance, who went 3-for-5 with one triple, one run, and one RBI. That triple was Durrance's first of the season. The team also got some help courtesy of Hannah LeBleu, who went 2-for-4 with one triple, one stolen base, and one run.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Fort White kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Bell only managed one hit.

Fort White's record now sits at 17-5. As for Bell, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-14 record this season.

Fort White will take on Branford at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Indians 1.8, the Buccaneers 3.5) so any runs scored will be well earned. Bell does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
