Basketball Recap: Mid Valley Takes Loss Despite Strong Performances from Demaja Dunston and Kaleik Cook

Mid Valley and Valley View squared off in some playoff action on Tuesday, but Mid Valley had to settle for second. They lost 57-33 to the Valley View Cougars. The loss continues a trend for the Spartans in their matchups with the Cougars: they've now lost three in a row.

Mid Valley's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Kaleik Cook, who posted eight points and 13 boards, and Demaja Dunston, who went 6-for-14 on his way to 12 points.

Mid Valley now has a losing record of 11-12. As for Valley View, they have been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight matchups, which somehow still isn't as good as their 18-5 record this season.

Mid Valley does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Valley View, they will head out to face off against Dallas at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
