Baseball Recap: Somerset Academy South Homestead Comes Up Short

Somerset Academy South Homestead was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 14th straight defeat dating back to last season. They lost 18-2 to the Riviera Prep Bulldogs. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Hurricanes of the 15-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2021.

Somerset Academy South Homestead's defeat dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Riviera Prep, the win got them back to even at 1-1.

Ransom Everglades will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something Somerset Academy South Homestead surely won't give up without a fight. As for Riviera Prep, they will square off against Marathon at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Marathon is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.4 runs per game this season.
