Baseball Recap: Algonquin Regional Comes Up Short

Monday just wasn't the day for Algonquin Regional's offense. They lost 8-0 to the St. John's Pioneers on Monday. That makes it the first time this season the Titans have let down their home crowd.

This is the second loss in a row for Algonquin Regional and nudges their season record down to 6-2. As for St. John's, they pushed their record up to 8-1 with the win, which was their 11th straight on the road dating back to last season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Algonquin Regional will welcome Milford at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Titans are facing the Scarlet Hawks at the right time seeing as the Scarlet Hawks are stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for St. John's, they will host St. Mary's at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday. The Spartans will roll in looking for their eighth straight victory, something the Pioneers surely won't give up without a fight.
