Softball Recap: Stuart W. Cramer Comes Up Short

If Stuart W. Cramer was riding high fresh off their 26-16 takedown of Lincolnton last Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Storm came up short against the Cherryville Ironmen on Tuesday, falling 15-3. The Storm haven't had much luck with the Ironmen recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Brinley Womack made the most of her time in the batter's box despite the final result and went a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, three runs, and one stolen base. She has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times she's played.

Stuart W. Cramer's loss dropped their record down to 3-13. As for Cherryville, they now have a winning record of 9-8.

Looking ahead, Cherryville will welcome Piedmont Community Charter at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Stuart W. Cramer will be paying especially close attention to the Ironmen's contest: after the Ironmen face off against the Patriots, they'll take on Stuart W. Cramer again at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
