Baseball Recap: Lake Shore Comes Up Short

Lake Shore was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their tenth straight loss dating back to last season. They might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 12-4 to the Depew Wildcats, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Wildcats this season, with their most recent defeat being a 12-4 loss on Thursday.

Lake Shore's defeat dropped their record down to 0-8. As for Depew, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-3 record this season.

Lake Shore will welcome Maryvale at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Depew, they will venture away from home to take on Iroquois at 5:15 p.m. on Tuesday. The Redhawks will roll in looking for their seventh straight victory, something the Wildcats surely won't give up without a fight.
