Baseball Recap: Freedom Takes a Loss

Freedom lost against Jefferson back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Freedom Patriots came up short against the Jefferson Dragons, falling 19-6. The Patriots have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Freedom got a good showing from Dominick Commiso, who tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits.

At the plate, Brady Hall was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring a run while going 1-for-2. He also hit a double, marking his first of the season. Another player making a difference was Gavin Tarr, who scored two runs while going 2-for-2.

Freedom's loss dropped their record down to 5-7. As for Jefferson, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-4 record this season.

Freedom will challenge Riverview at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday. Freedom is facing Riverview at the right time seeing as Riverview is stuck on a five-game losing streak. As for Jefferson, they will square off against East Bay at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday. East Bay will roll in looking for their seventh straight victory, something Jefferson surely won't give up without a fight.
