Basketball Preview: York Prep Patriots vs. Buford Yellowjackets
York Prep is 1-7 against the Yellowjackets since November of 2014 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The York Prep Patriots are on the road again and plays the Buford Yellowjackets at 6:30 p.m. on February 6th.
While York Prep couldn't quite beat the Indians on Friday, the two-point margin was a huge improvement compared to the 42-point defeat they were dealt on Tuesday. York Prep fell just short of the Indians by a score of 35-33.
Meanwhile, Buford had to endure a six-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They came out on top against Central by a score of 51-43 on Friday. Buford's offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.
York Prep now has a losing record at 10-11. As for Buford, their victory ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 5-12.
Everything came up roses for York Prep against the Yellowjackets when the teams last played back in January as the team secured a 47-20 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for York Prep since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
