Basketball Recap: Mitchell Takes a Loss

Mitchell was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat. They took a blow against the Falcon Falcons, falling 63-4. The match marked the Marauders' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Falcon's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Alexis Hunter led the charge by almost dropping a double-double with 13 points and nine rebounds. The dominant performance also gave Hunter a new career-high in steals (seven). Another player making a difference was Cobelyn Wiesner, who posted 12 points and five steals.

Mitchell's loss dropped their record down to 3-18. As for Falcon, the victory was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 15-6.

Looking ahead, Mitchell will host Alameda at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Falcon, they will head out on the road to face off against Palmer Ridge at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. Falcon has been dominant on offense recently, having racked up an incredible 214 points over their last three games.
