Softball Recap: Normangee Takes a Loss

Normangee lost against Grapeland back in February of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Normangee Panthers took a 6-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Grapeland Sandies. The Panthers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Kynleigh Long made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with two RBI and one double. That double marked the first that she's hit this season.

Normangee now has a losing record of 4-5. As for Grapeland, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-4.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Normangee will host Slocum at 6:00 p.m. on March 4th. As for Grapeland, they will take on West Sabine in a tournament on Thursday. Grapeland will be hoping to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each contest than the last.
