Softball Preview: Northview Knights vs. South Putnam Eagles
Northview is 8-1 against South Putnam since April of 2015, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Tuesday. The Northview Knights will head out on the road to face off against the South Putnam Eagles at 5:30 p.m. Northview is no doubt hoping to put an end to a five-game streak of away losses.
Northview's pitching crew heads into the match hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Thursday. They came out on top against Bloomington North by a score of 4-0.
MAGGIE KRAUSE was a major factor no matter where she played. She didn't allow a single earned run while striking out 17 over seven innings pitched. KRAUSE has been consistent recently: she hasn't tossed less than seven strikeouts in six consecutive pitching appearances. KRAUSE was also solid in the batter's box, going 3-for-4 with two RBI.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on MIANAH THOMPSON, who scored a run while going 2-for-3.
