ED White dropped down to 18-9 on Thursday, ending the team's three-game streak of wins. They had to suffer through a 69-38 loss at the hands of the Ponte Vedra Sharks. If the Commanders were looking for revenge after losing 61-40 to the Sharks when the teams met back in February of 2025, then they'll just have to keep looking.
As for Ponte Vedra, they have been performing well recently as they've won 11 of their last 13 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-7 record this season. Given their advantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 51st, while ED White is ranked 285th) , the win wasn't entirely unexpected.
Ponte Vedra got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Tyler Kroog out in front who shot 64% from the field on his way to 18 points. Thanks to that strong game, Kroog now owns an excellent 40.4% three-point shooting accuracy. The team also got some help courtesy of Maddox Palmer, who went 7-for-10 to rack up 17 points.
ED White does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Ponte Vedra, they will face off against St. Augustine on Saturday. That contest will pit two of the most dominant guards against one another: Palmer and Braylen Dirden.
