Softball Recap: Lone Peak Comes Up Short

Lone Peak's tournament run continued when they took on Bear Lake on Friday. The Lone Peak Knights fell just short of the Bear Lake Bears by a score of 8-7. The loss was the Knights' first of the season.

Ruby Nelson made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored a run while going 2-for-3. What's more, she posted two doubles, the most she's had since back in March of 2024. Another player making a difference was Maggie Nelson, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 3-for-4.

Having lost for the first time this season, Lone Peak fell to 2-1. As for Bear Lake, the win got them back to even at 1-1.

Lone Peak wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 10-0 defeat against Hillcrest on the 14th. As for Bear Lake, they have also already played their next contest, a 13-8 loss against Pahrump Valley on the 14th.
