Basketball Recap: Georgetown Takes a Loss

On Monday, the Georgetown Bulldogs took a blow against the Elizabeth Bulldogs, falling 57-8. While losing is never fun, Georgetown can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Louisiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 327th, while Elizabeth is ranked 104th).

Georgetown has been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last eight matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-15 record this season. As for Elizabeth, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 12-6.

Georgetown will face off against Saline at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Elizabeth, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 48-35 victory against Avoyelles Charter on the 14th.
