Volleyball Recap: Lane Tech Extends Road Winning Streak to Seven

Taft typically has all the answers at home, but on Tuesday Lane Tech proved too difficult a challenge. They came out on top against the Eagles by a score of 2-0. The Champions haven't had any issues with the Eagles recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive victory against them.

Lane Tech not only won, but also showed off some consistency: they kept Taft between 17 and 18 points across their sets. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-17, 25-18.

Lane Tech's win was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 24-5. As for Taft, their defeat ended a ten-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 20-6.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Lane Tech will challenge Oak Park-River Forest at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Huskies will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something the Champions surely won't give up without a fight. As for Taft, they will square off against Fenwick at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Eagles are facing the Friars at the right time seeing as the Friars are stuck on a five-game losing streak.
