Recap: Workman Lobos vs. Sierra Vista Dons

The Workman Lobos waltzed into their match on Friday with five straight wins but they left with six. They snuck past Sierra Vista with a 47-42 win. For Workman, this counts as revenge for the 47-42 loss Sierra Vista walked away with the last time they faced one another on January 12th.

When it comes to explaining why Sierra Vista lost, one person who can't be blamed is Anson Wei. Despite the final result, he scored 14 points along with seven rebounds and three steals. That's the first time this season that Wei grabbed two or more steals. Another player making a difference was Hector Vizcarra, who scored nine points along with seven rebounds.

Workman is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 16-8 record this season. As for Sierra Vista, their loss dropped their record down to 16-9.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Workman will take on Nogales at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. That game will pit two of the most dominant guards against one another: Isaac Garcia and Aaron Hernandez. Sierra Vista will be staying on the road on Monday to face off against Duarte at 6:00 p.m. on January 29th. Duarte is coming into the contest on a six-game losing streak.
