Valley Catholic is a perfect 4-0 against Rainier since April of 2023 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Monday. The Valiants will host the Columbians at 3:30 p.m. Rainier took a loss in their last match and will be looking to turn the tables on Valley Catholic, who comes in off a win.
Valley Catholic is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They blew past Corbett 17-10 on Friday. The Valiants not only won on Friday, but they posted their biggest win since May 11, 2024.
Trevor Yee was a standout: he scored four runs and stole two bases while getting on base in three of his five plate appearances. Those runs marked the first that he scored this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Will Erickson, who scored a run and stole three bases while going 3-for-5.
Valley Catholic kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.
Meanwhile, Friday just wasn't the day for Rainier's offense. They came up short against Horizon Christian on Friday, falling 10-0. The Columbians haven't had much luck with the Hawks recently, as the team has come up short the last seven times they've met.
