They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 59-56 victory over Rockford East. Given the Tigers' advantage in MaxPreps' Illinois basketball rankings (they are ranked 71st, while the E-Rabs are ranked 210th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Geneva has been a dominant force so far, but they're in the middle of a mini-slump at the moment. They fell 49-40 to West Aurora on Monday. The game marked the Vikings' lowest-scoring match so far this season.

The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 52.7 points per game. As for Geneva, their defeat dropped their record down to 17-4.
