They took a 21-14 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Saegertown Panthers. One positive for the Bears, at least, is that this was the most points they've scored all season.
Despite the defeat, Union City had strong showings from Matt Eliason, who rushed for 21 yards and a touchdown, and Jj Karmazin, who picked up 30 receiving yards and a touchdown. An impressive showing, but Karmazin really ramped things up playing D: he forced a fumble, made three total tackles, and defended a pass in addition to snagging an interception. Union City also got a significant boost from Austin Brown, who ran away from the competition to the tune of 100 yards.
