Volleyball Recap: Dublin Comes Up Short

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Dublin can now relate to. They fell just short of the Liberty Lions by a score of 3-2 on Thursday. While the Gaels didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Lions 25-18 in the first set.

Dublin started the match hot and won the first two sets, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The match finished with set scores of 18-25, 25-27, 25-21, 27-25, 20-18.

Dublin's defeat dropped their record down to 24-6. As for Liberty, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 12 of their last 13 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 27-9 record this season.

Dublin does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Liberty, they will square off against Irvington at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
